Lincoln Seligman has exhibited with Quantum Contemporary Art since 1998. He was born in 1950 and studied law at Balliol College, Oxford. He became a shipping lawyer but on the birth of his son he decided to make a career in his first love, art. He is a sculptor who has created large-scale mobile atrium pieces in landmark buildings ( Kai Tak Airport HK, Schroders Bank in London, Stanhope plc and Cathay Pacific ) as well as a painter and has had solo shows in London and New York.
His studio at his west London home was designed by architect Piers Gough. He has also participated in group shows including those at Henry Wyndham Ltd and the V & A. His work is in collections all over the world: the BBC, Cathay Pacific, the Government of Japan, KLM, Swiss Bank Corp, Tiffany and Co, Schroders, Savoy Hotel, Prudential, Glaxo SmithKline, Warburg and the European Parliament in Brussels. Quantum organised a sell-out solo show for Lincoln in Dover St, London W1 in September 2005.
In 2007 Quantum was again involved in his sell-out solo show at the Royal Academy which raised over £500,000 for the sight charity Seeing is Believing. We had another solo show for Lincoln in the Air Gallery Dover St W1 in June 08. In addition we have exhibited Lincoln’s work at fairs in London, Glasgow, New York, Brussels, Jersey and the Hamptons USA.
