Nigel Cox

Nigel Cox has exhibited with Quantum Contemporary Art since 2003. He was born in 1959 in Northern Ireland. His atmospheric paintings have been exhibited by Quantum in London, Dublin, Glasgow, New York, the Hamptons USA and Brussels ) as well as in Hamburg and Paris . His work has been selected for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He says of his paintings " The figures are alone but not lonely; searching but not anxious; anticipating yet calm. The paintings reflect solitude, tranquility and confidence." Nigel gained experience of solitude whilst on the 3 year Transglobe Expedition with Sir Ranulph Fiennes which encompassed both North and South poles.
