Studied traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy in Beijing and then Western painting and drawing at the Central School of Art and Design in London. From 1992-1996 he was Art Tutor at the V & A and since 1994 has been visiting tutor at the Ruskin School of Art in Oxford. He has exhibited internationally in Shanghai, Paris, Hong Kong, Taipei, Frankfurt and Oslo. In London he has shown at Thompsons Gallery, the Blue Gallery, the Holland Gallery and Anna-Mei Chadwick. Collectors include the V & A, Barclays Bank and HRH the Prince of Wales.
