Graduated with a BA( hons ) in Fine Art from Newcastle University in 1994, since when she has exhibited extensively. She acknowleges the influence of Francis Bacon and the photographic sequences of photographs of animal locomotion by Eadweard Muybridge in her work. She has shown at the City of London Art Show, at the Royal College of Art, New English Arts Club and the East London Design Show. Her work has also been featured in Art Review magazine and on Sky television.
