The Original Wychwood Bronzed with a Twist

Since graduating from Liverpool University in 1996, with a first class combined honours degree in Fine Art and Psychology, Christopher has been creating his sculpture in a studio based in a farmhouse in Ascott-Under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire. Christopher mainly works with mild steel. His inspiration is drawn from the trees in the Wychwood forest which is situated close to his studio.
Christopher says, ‘I am excited by the thought of creating a unique visual language with my work, an individual way in which one is describing and interpreting a journey through life and responses to experiences and stimuli. Working with steel is physically hard, but it is very satisfying to take something that is so inanimate and make it flow, move and even dance!’.
Christopher has shown work in galleries within the UK and has work in private collections in the US, New Zealand, Australia, Israel, Portugal, France, Dubai and Ireland. He has exhibited at The Royal College of Art, Mall Galleries, RHS Hampton Court, RHS Tatton Park and Grand Designs Live. He has exhibited at ‘Sculpture’ at Doddington Hall, Lics. Sir Harold Hiller Gardens, Hampshire. Marks Hall, Essex. Charingworth Hall, Worcestershire. Kingham Lodge, Oxfordshire. He has also sold work through Sothebys at Summers Place.
Christopher joined Quantum in late 2015. We exhibited his sculpture at the Battersea Park AAF in October 2015. Since then, we have and continue to exhibit his sculpture in London, Singapore and Hong Kong.
