Alison Rankin has exhibited with Quantum Contemporary Art since 2005. She achieved a degree in Graphic Design in 1975 and then worked in book and magazine publishing as a designer. She says of her work: "I love conveying the weight and texture of fruit and vegetables, creating a classic and sensuous still life feel. Textures, shape and colours are harmoniously combined to elevate the mere domestic to iconic status." She has exhibited extensively in London and also in Brussels, New York and Chicago and Glasgow. Her work was selected for the 2005 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
